Marked is a type of status effect in Ashes of Creation.[1]
- The intent behind marks is to provide a burst window on the target. Often in other games it's just bonus damage. This is much more significant on the impact that this will have on the target. It's basically marking the target for death and has a pretty huge effect.[1] – Brian Ferguson
- Applying a mark will override any previously applied mark.[2]
- Marks will override the previously applied mark; and the benefit of that is we're not outscaling the mark efficacy too much by allowing them to stack. It gives us more power to place on each individual mark when we know that they'll be replaced if you use them.[2] – Steven Sharif
