Alpha-2 Whirlwind Fighter skill demonstrations.[1]

Whirlwind is actually pretty close to what it's always been. It's an AoE channeled attack that ramps up in speed the longer you hold it. There's also a spec option on the right, if you want to pick that, that gives a final upward swing at the end, that has some additional bonuses to it.[1]Tradd Thompson

Alpha-2 Fighter skill:

Base skill
Channeled Ability: Deal physical damage to all enemies around the caster with each spin while channeled, increasing the spin rate the longer it is channeled. The caster is immune to hard disabling effects while spinning. Activate the ability again to end channeling early.[2]
Climactic Whirlwind upgrade
Perform a final swing in an area in front of you after ending Whirlwind's channel, dealing heavy damage and generating 5-10 Combat Momentum based on number of targets hit.[3]
Overdrive upgrade
After completing the final spin, you may continue spinning at maximum speed while rapidly depleting your Momentum. Ends after Momentum is fully depleted or after stopping the channel.[4]
