Alright this is Eddie Nicholson standing here with DVS gaming PAX East 2018 and standing here with the man himself Ashes of Creation. We are beyond excited for this MMO we have been waiting and waiting for this PvP style like we were just talking about risk versus reward combat system that we just weird everyone in the whole world I think you guys were most excited MMO coming out?

Yep

0:24

What's going on with you guys? Talk to us. Tell everybody what the phases are.

We're making some pretty awesome progress I mean we're here at PAX West to really kind of show off the development cycle what we've accomplished so far. We're in our alpha zero test phase that's really a pre-alpha testing kind of getting all the backend systems ready getting our launcher, our updater ready testing our primary node system which is the most integral system in the game right now, it connects to everything. So, we're making a lot of progress we're hitting our deadlines. We're actually ahead of schedule. We just announced at our panel a few hours ago that our first phase of alpha one, which will focus on siege mechanics of cities and castles and mass warfare, will be deployed at the beginning of quarter four this year.

If you hear that and you aren't excited I don't know what you're wrong with you. So can people still buy into the testing phases?

Yes so we do have pre-order packages available on our website at ashesofcreation.com. There's alpha 1, alpha 2, beta 1, beta 2 access available there. Obviously you know our game is a no box cost game, it's a subscription only, so you don't have to order the the early access if you don't want; you can wait until the game's finished to try it out.

That is amazing, it's amazing we've been waiting for that and I know you and I are both excited about that payment model. So, just a little bit of history for you guys Ashes of Creation is going to be a PvP based housing system rating system castles. Give us all the exciting stuff.

So we like to really refer to ourselves as a PvX game because in our those systems of PvP, PvE, crafting they're all intertwined: They're interdependent on each other. You need populations in both categories and to be honest most MMO players don't wholly fit in one or the other, they kind of had an experience outside of that. So you know our system of development really requires some interdependence there between those things. You're going to need a crafter to give you the best items. You're going to need PvPers to secure cities and castles. You're gonna need PvErs to take down those world bosses for those materials to craft. So you know we have a lot of focuses on PvP mechanics like our castle wars our node system our caravan trade system where-

2:30

You hear that? Say it one more time dude.

So our caravan system is really the way that we transit goods between regions we're very Eve style economy in the sense that we have no global auction house, we have no global warehouse. Instead you collect resources within a region and you must move those resources to another region in order to craft something and that movement is risky; and we want it to be risky because risk versus reward is a very important aspect of gameplay.

I've heard nothing but excitement from everything you said right now Ashes of Creation check it out ashesofcreation.com. I'd like to thank you one more time Steve for your time I know you're busy man and I look forward to seeing this all PAX East 2018 DVS gaming. [Music]
