Smithy is an Artisan service building in Ashes of Creation.[2][3]

Smithy service buildings have a tech tree that allows mayors to upgrade and specialize the crafting done at armor smithing and weapon smithing stations.[5]
- Service building expansions unlock tech tree pathways for higher tier artisan proficiencies.[6][7][8]
- Service building expansions also unlock specialized crafting pathways. For example: from generalized Blacksmithing to Armor smithing, then finally toward specialization in Plate armor.[5][9][10]
